Bodies, Labor and Gender

National University of Singapore in collaboration with the Shigang Mama Theatre, Shigang, Taiwan. Feb 23–27, 2019

The goal of ‘A Home on the Island (4)’ is to innovate a probody aesthetics by integrating the therapeutic body into the performance and labouring bodies of the Shigang Mamas.

The project is a continuation of 'A Home on the Island (3)' inspired by Henri Lefebvre’s Rhythmanalysis: Space, Time and Everyday Life.

Members of Shigang Mama Theatre and theatre practitioners based in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong were participants at this workshop.
