Towards a Probody Aesthetics

Ageing and Occupationally Damaged Bodies in Performance

Here I formulate a body-centric approach to the study of theatre and performance by proposing the idea of probody aesthetics.

I approach this concept from three ergonomic perspectives: the somatic, the physical and the collaborative.

Moving towards a health-conscious and therapeutic theatre, I offer probody aesthetics as a conceptual framework for advancing aesthetics that care for the health and wellness of arts makers.
