Puppets and Objects in Performance

Seeking to establish ergonomic principles specific to the materiality of theatre and performance practice, I aim to innovate ergonomic puppets that not only reduce the possibility of occupational hazards but also serve as a form of health intervention.

In preparation for the project, I have worked under the supervision of Tan Beng Tian, the Artistic Director of The Finger Players. I was in workshop with her in May 2017 and August 2018.

A pilot study on the concept of physical ergonomics will also be conducted in ‘A Home on the Island (5)’ scheduled for February 2020.
