The Seal Wife
National University of Singapore in collaboration with the Nanyang Sisters Theatre, Taipei, Taiwan. Feb 20–22, 2016
In ‘A Home on the Island (2)’ we particularly examined the idea of home through commercialized transnational marriage migration.
Through Process Drama and the legend of the seal wife, the various relationship components of a home were examined on the first two days of the workshop.
On the third day, participants documented their cognitive and affective experiences from the previous two days in the form of Playback Theatre.
Members of the Nanyang Sisters Theatre (TASAT Theatre), NUS students, and Taiwan-based community theatre practitioners were attendants at this workshop.
