Teaching
Philosophy
I am an academic educator interested in innovating a playful pedagogy for higher learning. My commitment to a playful pedagogy that is embodied, critical and student-centric comes from my passion for the performing arts.
I believe that theatre and performance pedagogy should be just as interactive, transformative, and generative as theatre and performance themselves.
In my pedagogical practice I challenge myself by asking: How can physical boundaries between the instructor and the learners can be shifted and transgressed? How do I generate differentiated knowledge through collaboration in the classroom? How do I ensure learners are immune to the fear of failure while developing creative and critical skills?
